Support¶
FlockFlow runs on an iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Camera counting requires rear-camera access; video counting can use the bundled example or a movie selected with Apple's system Photos picker.
Quick checks¶
Before reporting a problem:
- Confirm the device is upright in portrait orientation and mounted securely.
- Confirm camera permission is enabled in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.
- Open FlockFlow diagnostics and record the app, model, tracker, and counting versions.
- Note whether the issue followed an interruption, background transition, or thermal warning.
- If possible, determine whether the same issue occurs with a selected video.
Common issues¶
The camera is unavailable¶
The iOS Simulator has no rear camera. Use a physical iPhone for camera counting. On an iPhone, check camera access in Settings and close another app if it is currently using the camera.
Counting is not ready¶
Open Settings → Diagnostics and check the model status. If the device is hot, allow it to cool before trying again. Restart FlockFlow if camera services were interrupted.
A sheep was tracked but not counted¶
A track ID is not a count. A sheep must complete the configured directional crossing. Adjust the counting zone so sheep pass through it cleanly rather than moving alongside it, and use session diagnostics to review the track timeline.
Saving a video failed¶
FlockFlow requests add-only Photos access after you choose Save to Photos. Confirm Photos access is allowed and that the iPhone has enough available storage.
Location is unavailable¶
Location is optional. You can move the pasture map or enter latitude and longitude manually without granting location access.
